The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Air Force test-fired a range of homegrown missiles and bombs on the last day of major air drill.
In the last day of the two-day drill, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Air Force (IRIAF) test-fired domestically-made weapons such as laser and radar-guided missiles and smart heavy and semi-heavy bombs as well.
The fixed and moving targets were accurately hit by smart bombs and rockets fired from Army’s fighter jets. Different kinds of fighter jets, including, Saeghe, F4, F5, Sukhoi24 and F14, as well as drones got involved in the drills.
Also in the two-day event, the Iranian air force conducted reconnaissance and data transfer missions, strike air and ground targets and practice civil defense tactics.
Kicked off on Saturday, the large-scale drills, codenamed Fada’eeyan-e Harim-e Velayat 5 (Devotees of the Velayat Territory 5) in the country’s central province of Isfahan was held to boost defensive capabilities and to convey Iran’s message of security, stability, friendship and lasting peace to regional countries.
Various types of interceptor fighter jets, bombers, military transport aircraft, communication and reconnaissance planes, tanker aircraft and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) participated in the life fire war game.
