The new Czech-made fighter jets to arrive in Iraq soon, to be used against the Islamic State militants.
The Iraqi Parliamentary Committee for Security and Defence Affairs on Monday has revealed that the first Czech-made fighter jets will arrive in Baghdad early November.
The parliamentary committee said that the L-159 warplanes will join the Iraqi air force in the war against Islamic State as soon as they take delivery.
The Iraqi government has bought 15 jets from the Czech Republic at a cost of $16 million each.
The order is on top of the recent purchase of 36 F-16 jets form the US, six of which have so far been delivered.
